It is open to riders and campers of all levels. Whether this is your first or fiftieth time bike-camping, and whether you ride a decked-out Surly or a Craigslist hand-me-down, you will not be left behind.
Join us for a weekend of biking, yummy food, dancing, community, compassion, self-care, and new friends.

Adventure comes in all shapes and sizes

Compassion for ourselves, others, this land, and change

We have the power to nurture and sustain our communities

Basecamp is at Battle Ground Lake State Park in Washington, approximately 30 miles north of Portland.

Activities & Food

Choose your own adventure:

walk in nature

practice yoga

polar plunge in the pond

bike to a winery

play games with friends

V3PDX provides four community meals: two dinners and two light breakfasts. We use fresh, seasonal ingredients to create meals that align with your dietary needs and preferences.

V3PDX is a no-drop community ride, meaning no one gets left behind. The ride to and from the venue is approximately 35 miles, and will be fully supported by several group leaders who ensure we ride at a comfortable pace. The route features some hills and a trail section that can be walked. We obey the rules of the road, take plenty of water and snack breaks, and always support each other.

Upon registration, you'll have access to the Participant Portal which includes a packing list, self-guided winery tour map, menus, route info and more.

Lastly, folks of various backgrounds, genders, and identities will be present as participants and volunteers to help facilitate the weekend.

What's it like?

"I could not have asked for a better- supported experience. It was much more than just about riding a bike: it was about exploring one's own inner landscape, pushing physical limits, practicing self-care, connecting with others and fostering community."

"As a first time bike camper on a heavy hybrid commuter bike and limited light weight gear, V3 made bike camping less intimidating, more accessible and fun! I could tell that so much thought had been invested in the event from the packing list, fresh food options, community centered meals, variety of activities, self reflection and healing time. I felt so supported and empowered!"

"The final push up the hill is always worth it when you know there’s snacks and great people waiting for you at the end!"
